About Julia and Tim Glaeser

Glaesersglobe Photography – that’s Tim and Julia Glaeser and they are wildlife, nature and underwater photographers from Germany and are very enthusiastic about the beauty of our environment. They love to experience animals in their wild habitats, discovering breathtaking seascapes and capturing these moments on camera.
As a buddy team they did their diving license years ago together and since then they have completely fallen in love with the underwater world and the ocean. It’s incredible how a whole new world opens up when you dive down and get involved with the ocean. Since the topic of nature conservation is very important to them, they like to share these experiences and pictures with the world, to inspire other people for the beauty of our planet and to get people excited about nature conservation. Protect what you love.
Tim Glaeser
To describe Tim, many different words can be used. He is an industrial engineer, sustainability manager and consultant, PADI Rescue Diver, certified free diver and adventurer. But most importantly he is a passionate wildlife and underwater photographer. Already in young age, he played around with his first camera and photographed butterflies in his parents’ garden. Likewise, he spent a lot of time in the water and worked as a lifeguard at various lakes as a teenager. Since he didn’t grow up right next to the ocean, his passion for diving only developed later, when he went on a trip around the world with his wife Julia. From the first moment being underwater he fell in love with diving. Already taking impressive pictures above the surface, it immediately made sense to him to combine his love for photography with diving and to take the camera underwater. Since then, the camera has been with him on every dive.
The topic of nature conservation has always been very important to Tim and since he saw the first effects of plastic pollution and the climate crisis with his own eyes, it was clear to him that he wanted to make a contribution to draw attention to these problems. For this reason he tries to show the beauty of nature with his pictures in order to draw attention to how worthy of protection and how fragile our environment is.

Julia Glaeser
Meet Julia, an always creative, joyful and skilled photographer, with a traveler’s heart and lot of patience to get the perfect shot.
Julia has always been drawn to the big wide world and so at the age of 17 she threw herself into her first adventure, going to South Africa for a year. The wanderlust and the urge to keep discovering new things have never left her since then and have become an integral part of her life.
As a former journalist and project manager in the field of nature conservation, it is above all her communication skills, her love of nature and her passion for storytelling that are reflected in her work as a photographer today.
„Good planning, an eye for the right composition and the courage to change perspective are often crucial in photography. But for a photo to leave a lasting impression on the viewer, it must also be able to convey emotions. This requires good storytelling. I love sharing the stories behind my pictures and encouraging people to go out and experience something new.“
Julia finds inspiration for her photography and creativity primarily in spending time in nature: whether it is diving, hiking or having encounters with wildlife. As a passionate diver and certified PADI Rescue Diver, it was only natural that she also took her camera underwater, and that, in addition to outdoor and travel photography, underwater photography became one of her favorite activities.
Julia Glaeser

Meet Julia, an always creative, joyful, open-minded, emphatic, communicative diver with a big heart for animals, especially underwater wildlife. And this love story already started when Julia was a little child, speaking of nothing else than whales, drawing them and watching Ariel the Mermaid over and over again – driving her parents crazy. So when she finally put on fins and mask for the first time, it felt as the most natural step in the world to make diving to a significant part of her life, becoming a PADI Rescue Diver and certified free diver.
After leading a project for the conservation of biological diversity in Germany, Julia is now working as a project coordinator for renewable energies, while spending most of her free time, when she can’t be underwater, to learn more about marine wildlife and the issues that our oceans are facing in times of climate change and overfishing. But what she loves most is spending her time in the ocean, with a camera in her hand, to capture the beauty of the underwater environment and to share it with the rest of the world.
